Israel warned that its military was “taking any measures that are needed” to prevent a boat that transported pro-Palestinian activists and humanitarian aid that reached the gas.
The Manin yacht is 160 miles from the gas strip and tries to challenge the Israeli military blockade.
Israel’s Defense Minister Katz said the 12 crew, which includes the climate protesting Gret Tunberg, should return, and Israel will act against any attempt to break the blockade.
The Freedom Freedilla Coalition (FFC) stated that the ship, which had departed for Sicily on Friday, provided humanitarian aid and “was prepared for the possibility of Israel’s attack.”
Katz stated that the blockade was “to prevent weapons transfer” and is important for Israel’s security as it seeks to destroy the Palestinian armed group of Hamas.
He warned in a report on X on Sunday: “I instructed the IDF (Israeli Defense Forces) to act to prevent” Madeleine “(SIC) hatred from the Gaza shore – and take any measures necessary for this.”
Referring to the crew directly, he added: “To the anti -Semitic Greta and her Hamas propaganda colleagues, I say clearly: you have to go back – because you will not reach the gas.
“Israel will act against any attempt to break the blockade or help terrorist organizations – in the sea, in the air and on land.”
The FFC described the minister’s statement as an example of Israel, who threatens illegal force against civilians and “attempt to justify this violence with smears.”
“We will not intimidate. The world is watching,” said the FFC Hay Sha Wiya officer.
“Madlin is a civilian ship, unarmed and floating in international waters that carry humanitarian aid and human rights defenders from all over the world … Israel has no right to prevent our efforts from reaching gas.”
The group added that the vessel had previously experienced a temporary silence, causing its location near Jordan.
The group said Madleen has a symbolic amount of help, including rice and a child formula.
People from Brazil, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Turkey are on board.
Israeli media say that its fleet is expected to block the boat before it reaches the gas.
“We will calmly take control of the ship, bring them to Israel and deport them abroad on the same night,” said the Israeli official The Jerusalem Post.
