Israel issued one of the broadest orders for evacuation for civilian population in Gaza, which has yet been seen in this war.
The large spots of the city of Gaza, the district, which was already partially destroyed by the bombing, were declared dangerous, residents who leaning there were ordered to leave their own security on the eve of “intense” strokes of Israeli defense forces (IDF).
Among the buildings highlighted by Israel are the University of Islam, al-Shifa Hospital and three former schools.
While Israel claims that Hamas buildings are used as “team centers and control”, local authorities and assistance agencies say there are thousands of civilians.
It is said that the evacuation of these areas will require time and there may be a lot of casualties.
This is a sinister sign of Israel’s threat to extend its military campaign to Gaza.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert was one of the very few Israelis who still opposed the expansion of the military campaign to Gaza.
In an interview with the BBC, Olmert said: “Most Israelis is against what is happening, a large number of commanders (army) against the expansion of the military operation and want to end the war now.”
Olmert is a frequent and more vocal critic of the current Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and his views reflect the increasing concern about the impact of the 20-month war on morality, economics and international position of the country.
Olmert was also opened on the humanitarian influence on the residents of Gaza.
“This is quite unbearable, unacceptable and unaccountable, it should be stopped at once,” said the former chief official, who was charged with “lobbying of the Palestinians”.
He added: “We must provide all the humanitarian needs of the population. We cannot allow the moral start of hunger to the gas. This must stop.”
Such opinions are rarely reflected in Israeli media or in public opinion polls, but they have recently been urgently repeated in hot speeches by UN organizations, aid and some Israeli allies abroad – French President Emanuel Macron called Israel’s actions in Gaz. Netanyahu accused him of “standing with Hamas”.
Growing evidence of deep suffering across the gas after a 10-week blockade, during which Israel prevented the entry into the Palestinian Ancla of any food, medicines and fuel.
The assessment that is supported, said this Gaza population, about 2.1 million Palestinians, is exposed to the “critical risk” of hunger And faces “extraordinary food security”. The World Health Organization says that without sufficient nutritional food, pure water and access to the whole generation will be constantly affected.
Israeli government’s press -secretary David Menzer insisted on the BBC that “Israel is definitely not a hunger strike.”
“I do not dispute that there is a hunger in Gaza, but we believe it is a hunger caused by Hamas. There is food in Gaza, it’s our information. There is no hunger,” he said.
On March 18, Israel also resumed its Gaza Airport, and its attacks have since died 2799, according to the Ministry of Health at Hamas, including 80 people on Wednesday.
It hopes that the updated US supported in the US can still be taken by Israel and Hamas. It is reported to see the release of some other hostages in exchange for an indefinite rest.
However, Netanyahu said that Israel would expand its military consequences in gas and that nothing would stop the war. Meanwhile, Hamas refused to release the rest of the hostages when Israel does not agree to a permanent ceasefire and does not leave Gaza.
On Wednesday night, 67 former hostages signed a letter called for Netanyahu to reach a “comprehensive deal” on the return of all the captives who still hold Hamas.
“Most Israeli societies want hostages at home – even at the cost of stopping hostilities,” the letter reads.
The hostage and the disappeared families stated that the letter was written for a “historical impetus” after Edon Alexander’s release. Hamas said he had released the age of 21 as a gesture of Donald Trump’s goodwill visiting the region.
The letter of the former movements turned to Trump so as not to “allow this historical impulse to stop.”
A poll for the Israeli channel 12 at the end of April suggested that 68% of respondents supported the signing of a deal with Hamas, even if this meant the end of the war, and only 22% supported the gas struggle.
Until now, Netanyahu remains unwavering.
“Despite the US determination, there is no change in the Prime Minister’s position – we will not allow the stop of the war,” the official said in Netanyahu’s entourage, diplomatic sources reported.
Israel launched a military campaign to destroy Hamas in response to an unprecedented cross -border attack on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people.
At least 52,928 people have been killed in Gaza since then, the Ministry of Health said.
