Israel gather huge crowds calling for a hostage transaction and ending with war in gas

Hundreds of thousands of people gathered in Israel to call for an end to the war and an agreement to ensure the release of the hostages conducted by Hamas.

On Sunday, the largest crowd was noticed on the “square of hostages” in Tel -Aviv, and the organizers said the government’s plans had seized control over gas, risked the life of about 20 hostages who still kept Hamas.

One -day national strike is part of wider protests – closed roads, offices and universities in some areas. Nearly 40 people were arrested during the day.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the protests, saying that they “hardened Hamas’s position” and only slow the release of hostages.

The far -right Israeli Minister Leafle also announced the protests, calling them “a harmful company that plays Hamas.”

The national strike demanded the hostage families and others who oppose the expansion of the war.

The protests took place a week after the Israeli military office voted in favor of occupying gas, the largest city and to displace its population, during the UN Security Council.

Thousands of residents have since fled in the southern area of Zytun Gaza, where the days of continuous Israeli bombing have created a “catastrophic” situation, the BBC of the city municipality said.

At least 40 people were killed by Israeli attacks on the territory on Saturday, the Gaza Civil Defense Agency said.

In a statement, Hamas stated that Israeli troops conducted a “sustainable offensive in the eastern and southern quarters of Gaza, especially in Zaitun.”
