Isaac Cruz – Angel Fierro Rematch probably on the Pacquiao -Barrios card in July

Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz could combat a resale against Angel Fierro in the manner of Manny Pacquiao vs Mario Barrios in July. This event is yet to be confirmed. Cruz (27-3-1, 18 kos) defeated Fierro (27-3-2, 18 kos) by a unanimous decision of ten rounds at the beginning of this year on February 1, with scores of 98-92, 97-93 and 96-94. There would be a resuscitation because some boxing fans considered it a controversial result.

Fierro again?

I saw the fight and won Cruz 9-1. There was no controversy. The only question about the score is why the judges were so close. Pitbull dominated this fight, but the judges did not give him a credit for the traits of the body that was landing everywhere. Fans would prefer to see Cruz fight someone, such as WBA’s heavy weight champion, Gary Antuanne Russell, IBF champion, Richardson Hitchins or Teophimo Lopez, for Wbo belt.

Pitbull Cruz could have fought against Ryan Garcia on Friday night, but did not want to negotiate the fight with him while he was still scheduled to fight against Fierro on February 1. Cruz has to kick himself, because he would not only have made more money fighting Ryan, but would have captured the WBA’s heavy heavy weight title. If he had taken Garcia’s struggle and win, he would have been in the position of making money in a resale against another popular fighter.

What Pitbull does not need is to be hooked on reservoir against contestants only because one of his fights was competitive or controversial. You must move on, challenging the world titles.

Pitbull style

Cruz looked like a little Mike Tyson against Fierrero. It was impressive as he adapted when Fierro continued to do -he lost his head. Cruz focused on his body and could do nothing to get out of these shots. Once again, the judges did not give Pitbull a credit for their body work because they would have made an unpleasant decision if they had it.

Fierro has lost two of his last three fights and goes to the state of travelers. His other defeat was to Alfredo Santiago last year in June, and he was a wide defeat of ten rounds. If anyone would have to go back, it should be Santiago.
