Iran’s High leader Ayatollah Ali Homena has made a first public speech since the beginning of Iran’s conflict with Israel, state media reports.
State television footage showed him welcoming believers in the mosque on Saturday during the ceremony the day before the Shiita Ashuri festival.
The last appearance of Khamenei was recorded during the conflict with Israel, which began on June 13, and during which the leading Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists were killed.
Israel began an unexpected attack on nuclear and military plots in Iran, after which Iran avenged the air attacks aimed at Israel.
During the 12-day war with Israel Khamenei appeared on TV in three video messages, and there were suggestions that he was hiding in the bunker.
On Saturday, the Iranian media prevailed the appearance of Khamenei, and the staff of fans expressed joy, seeing it on television.
Khamenei shows that he appeals to Mahmoud Karimi’s senior cleric, calling him “singing the anthem, Iran”. The patriotic song has become especially popular during a recent conflict with Israel.
State Television stated that the clip was shot in the mosque Imam Khamein Tehran, named after the founder of the Islamic Republic.
Iranian television invited people to send a video where it is divided by its reaction to Khamenei’s return to a public view.
Its appearance comes when the Muslim country of Shiita watches the mourning period within a month of Muharrama, which traditionally participates in the supreme leader.
Ashura is held on the 10th day of Muharrama – this year, which falls on July 6 – during which Muslims -Shijts celebrate the death of the grandson of Prophet Muhammad Hosein.
On June 26, in pre -recorded statements on state television, Khamenei said Iran was not given to Israel, despite US President Donald Trump’s calls.
