How does the IPL trade window work?

Types of shops:

Offers of all the money :: One team pays another for a player (for example, the transfer of Hardik Pandya to me in 2024).

Swaps of players per player: The teams directly exchange players.

All operations require the approval of the IPL governing body.

Player eligibility:

Only the players preserved by franchises before the auction can be exchanged.

Players purchased at the auction are not eligible for trade in the same season.

Salary and contracts:

The purchase team pays the existing league rate of the player (salary), which is deduced from their pay lid. The team of the sold team increases the same amount.

The salary can be renegotiated with BCCI approval. Any increase is shared between the player and the sales team; Decreases require BCCI consent.

No trade cannot occur without the player’s agreement.

Foreign players:

Operations involving players abroad require an Objection Certificate (NOC) from the player’s starting board.

Medical checks:

The purchase franchise is responsible for evaluating the physics of the player and can apply for a medical examination before the end of the trade.

Commercial limits:

There is no plaque in the number of shops, but each player can only be negotiated once between IPL 2025 and IPL 2026.

The equipment must comply with the rules of the size of the template and the salary lid.
