Kolkata Knight Riders’ mentor Dwayne Bravo has revealed that he did a text message to Gautam Gambhir after he had entered the paper. Bravo also talked about how different from Gambhir, but both are successful on their own.
Dwayne Bravo was named Kolkata Knight Riders Last year after Gautam Gambhir left the role after his appointment as the main coach of India. Bravo has also served as Chennai Super Kings bowling coach for IPL 2023 and 2024.

As he spoke at a press conference, Dwayne Bravo said that the franchise would continue to do good things about the last season that helped them become champions. He also revealed the team’s play plan for auction.
“It will be disrespectful of not trying some of the good things he did last season, but also the nucleus of the team is still there, and this was our responsibility to return to the auction and do our best to recover as many players from the winning team of the championship,” said Bravo.
KKR attempted to preserve the core at the IPL 2025 mega auction and succeeded in signing many players. However, they could not recover their captain Shreyas Iyer, who decided to enter the auction and obtained a massive amount of 26.75 crores from Punjab Kings.
They retained Rinku Singh, Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Harshit Rana and Ramandeep Singh before the auction. All these players are key to them and they are likely to appear in all their games, as they are appropriate.
