IPL 2025: Tim Seifert, James Neesham Help New Zealand Thrash Pakistan on 5th T20i

Pakistan’s struggle with bat

The Pakistan’s shake line fired again, it did not achieve a competitive total. Mohammad Haris (11 of 17) and Hasan Nawaz (0 of 3) fell cheap, putting the tone to start slow. Omair Yousuf (7 off 11) and Usman Khan (7 off 7) did not provide stability, while Agha Salman in shape (51 of 39, 6 four, 1 six) was the only beating he fought. He played a brave value under pressure but had no support from the other end.

Shadab Khan (28 of 20, 5 four) added some valuable rolls in the middle order, but the doctors continued to fall. Abdul Samad (4 of 9), Jahandad Khan (1 off 2), Haris Rauf (6 of 10), Sufiyan Muqeem (0 of 2) and Mohammad Ali (0 of 0) did not make a significant contribution as Pakistan ended 128/9 in 20 points.

The New Zealand bowls performed an exceptional performance, led by James Neesham, who recorded their best T20i figures, taking 5 doctors for 22 laps in 4 points. Jacob Duffy (2/18) and Ish Sodhi (1/32) supported him well, while Ben Sears (1/25) also entered. William O’Rourke was the only bowl that went without a woodpecker but launched with discipline, granted 29 runs in his 4 envelope.

Tim Seifert’s fireworks seal the game for black caps

Pursuing 129, New Zealand openers went to all the cannons. Seifert led the load with an electrifying 97 of 38 balls, searching 6 four and 10 six. He turned the Pakistani bowls away, without leaving the comeback. Finn Allen (27 of 12, 5 four, 1 six) played the perfect support role before being fired.

Mark Chapman (3 of 7 years) and Daryl Mitchell (2 of 4) finished the job, as New Zealand arrived in 131/2 in just 10 points.

Pakistani bowls did not respond to Seifert’s harassment. Jahandad Khan (0/43 in 2 surfaces), Mohammad Ali (0/27 in 2 points), Haris Rauf (0/22 in 2 Excess) and Shadab Khan (0/33 in 2 points) were expensive and ineffective. Sufiyan Muqeem (2/6 in 2 points) was the only ball that took doctors, but their efforts went in vain.
