At a nail biting encounter at the GuwaHati BarsaPara stadium, Rajasthan Royals (RR) Fixed Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for only six runs. This game was a crucial moment for both teams, with RR looking for his first victory IPL 2025 season and CSK with the aim of bouncing after a disappointing performance against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The game started with CSK winning the launch and chose Bowl first. Rajasthan registered a competitive total of 182 pulls for the loss of nine doctors, thanks to a large extent to a Nitish Rana hand, which scored 81 tracks of only 36 balls. Despite losing their doctors at regular intervals, RR managed to establish a difficult goal, with the contribution of the independent pattern Riyan Parag (37 years).
In response, CSK struggled to maintain impetus throughout its entrances. While Rachin Ravindra headed for a duck, Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad kept his team in the race. CSK finished its tickets to 176 by sixfalling short for only six runs. Ravindra Jadja, who scored 32 22 balls, were not enough to win the victory for the Super Kings.
After the game, CSK’s main coach Stephen Fleming went to the media and reflected on the team’s performance. He emphasized several key factors that contributed to his loss against the RR.
Fleming felt that CSK’s defeat in Sunday’s game was due to his fight in PowerPlay and admitted that they lost the initiative at these six points.
While the Royals added 79 runs for the loss of a single metal in their first six surfaces, CSK could only manage 42 runs and lost the important Rachin Ravindra wicket. Pursuing a competitive goal of 183, CSK was reduced to 5/1 in the first three points, courtesy a short ball attack by Jofra Archer and Tushar Deshpande.
“If you analyze the game, they are probably the two plants (which make the difference)” Fleming said in the post-party interview.
“Our Powerplay with the ball was the best part of the 80 runs and we were only able to manage in the mid -40’s or early 1940’s. This is the big difference, and we were also neglected in the field compared to Rajasthan that were prominent.”
