KKR goes with experience

Ajinkya Rahane’s designation is not a great surprise, as it was already among the contestants to run the champions defending this year. He, next to Venkatesh Iyer, were the biggest nursingons for the role of captaincy.

However, the management of the KKR team decided to go with Rahane’s experience and named him for the role. Venkatesh Iyer is also part of the leadership group and has been appointed vice-chic for the team.

Iyer was signed at a massive amount of 23.75 INR crores at the IPL 2025 Mega-Soussion. The price label seemed to be a little too much for a player who is not part of the Indian team.

On the other hand, Ajinkya Rahane was signed for only 1.5 Crore Inr. Surprisingly, he got rid of the initial rounds after a disappointing CSK season last year. However, it was signed by KKR in the round accelerated by its base price.
