The star of the star of England, Harry Brook, decided to remove all the season IPL 2025 a few days before he was about to begin. Brook’s decision to retire at the last moment forced the BCCI to apply a compulsory two-year ban that will be applicable for the next two years.

“It’s not hard. I agree with this, in a way, because many people do this. Many people have done it in the past, and then they return and end up achieving a better financial package, or whatever it is. And he too does a lot at the same time,” said Moeen.
“I mean, he has messy his team, obviously, Tirant. Any team that loses Harry Brook is a little messy, and now they have to return -despite things like that,” he added.
Moeen Ali supports the decision to ban Harry Brook
Ex -Anglatera All Rounder claims that the rule was already in its place and the BCCI is right to ban players. He feels that the sudden deployment of such a high player wraps many things for a franchise.
“Forgot it for a second, but if they are removed, the rule is that you will get a ban unless it is for family reasons or … for injuries or something. If it is injuries or something, it is different. But I think if you have just removed, it is … I agree with the teams,” Moleen said.
“Actually wrap you up a lot of things. It is (Harry Brook) a superior player. They probably have chosen the team around him and suddenly you are removing,” added the former pattern of England.
Adil Rashid supports BCCI decision
Adil Rashid, who was also at the same podcast, agreed with Moeen Ali and believes that players knew this rule when entering the auction. Therefore, I did not agree to call the hard decision.
“They actually put this rule in place before, and then this happened. So you know that when you go, this is the rule. So when you put your name, you know if you take away, this will happen. So you know the consequences. So I don’t think it’s hard,” Rashid said.
“No, but if you bring and have, as you say, an injury or anything, I think that’s where something like the rules can differ or change in this way,” he said.
Harry Brook was signed by Delhi Capitals by INR 6.25 Crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. However, he decided to remove the season, mainly due to the workload pressure after the resignation of Jos Buttler as captain of the white ball of England.
Being the team’s vice-chapter, Brook was talked about about the white ball captaincy of England by CEO Roby. He is the leader to lead the team in white ball formats, although the decision does not yet have to be announced.
