Like the Indian Premier (IPL) 2025 Approaches, the ten teams have confirmed their captains for the next tournament. The season will begin on March 22, with several teams with new leadership after significant changes during the mega auction.
Key changes and notable captains
Delhi’s capitals have designated Axar Patel As a new captain after the departure of Rishabh pantwhich will now direct Lucknow Super Giants.
The Kolkata Knight Riders, the reigning champions, have called Ajinkya Rahane As a captain, replacing Shreyas iyerwho moved to Kings Punjab.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be directed by Skateboardby marking a change of previous seasons below FAF DU PLESSIS.
Here is an overview of each player designated as captain for the franchises for IPL 2025:
1) Ruturaj Gaikwad (Chennai Super Kings)
Background: Born on January 31, 1997 in Pune, Maharashtra. He is known for his battle capacity and has been the captain of the Maharashtra Cricket team in T20 and lists Formats A.
Achievements: Gaikwad was the main scorer of the IPL 2021 season and won the emerging prize of the season. He also led India to a gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games.
2) Axar Patel (Delhi Capital)
Background: Born on January 20, 1994 in Anand, Gujarat. It is a pace of the left hand known for its slow orthodox skills of bowling and smoothies.
Hits: Axar was part of the Indian teams that won by 2024 T20 and the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy. It debuted in T20I in 2015 and is known for its consistent doctors’ ability.
3) Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans)
Background: Born on September 8, 1999 in Fazilka, Punjab. He is a versatile batter who has represented India in all formats.
Hits: Gill scored a double century in hatred against New Zealand in 2023, becoming the youngest Indian to get this feat. It also maintains the highest individual score record for an Indian batter of T20IS.
4) Ajinkya Rahane (Kolkata Knight Riders)
Background: Born on June 6, 1988 in Ashwi Khurd, Maharashtra. He is a right -handed batter known for his technical skills.
Hits: Rahane drove Mumbai to his 42nd Ranji Trophy title in the 2023-24 season. He was the main scorer of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in 2024.
5) RISABH Pant (LuckNow Super Giants)
Background: Born on October 4, 1997 in Roorkee, Uttarakhand. He is a wicket-geeper batter known for his aggressive battle style.
Achievements: Pant became the most expensive player in the history of the IPL in 2025. He was part of the Indian teams who won the World Cup of 2024 T20 and the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy.

6) Hardik Pandya (Mumbai Indians)
Background: Born on October 11, 1993 in Surat, Gujarat. It is a rhythm of the right hand known for its quick bowl and the beaten of the average order.
Hits: Pandya brought Gujarat titans to his title IPL of single in 2022. He was the vice-chic for the Indian team who won the World Cup of 2024 T20.
7) Shreyas Iyer (Kings Punjab)
Background: Born on December 6, 1994 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is a right -handed batter known for his leadership roles at the IPL.
Hits: Iyer brought Kolkata Knight Riders to Titular Triumph in the IPL 2024 season and is known for its consistent battle performances.
8) Sanju Samson (Rajasthan Royals)
Background: Born on November 11, 1994 in Pulluvila, Kerela. He is a wicket-geeper batter known for his aggressive battle style.
Hits: Samson has been a performer consisting of the IPL and has led Rajasthan Royals in previous seasons.
9) Rait skateboard (Royal Challengers Bengaluru)
Background: Born on June 1, 1993 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. He is a right -wing whisk known for his impressive performances on the house cricket.
Hits: Patidar was starred in his performances at the IPL, particularly for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
10) PAT Cummins (Sunrisers Hyderabad)
Background: Born on May 8, 1993 in Westmead, Australia. It is an Australian fast diaper known for its leadership roles in the international cricket.
Hits: Cummins has been a key player for Australia and has led the team at the 2023 Triumph Test Championship and the glory of the 2023 hatred World Cup. It is known for its exceptional fast bowling skills.
