Inter Miami’s manager, Javier Mascherano, greeted Paris Saint-Germain “the best team in the world” after his side fell to a 4-0 defeat against European champions in the 16 World Club Cup round.
PSG took the lead after six minutes through Joao Neves before the 20 -year -old Portuguese midfielder added a second in the 39th minute.
It caused nine devastating minutes for the winners of League 1, who scored two more before the pause courtesy of a goal of Tomas Aviiles and an Achraf Hakimi Tap-in.
The game ended as a competition mid -time after Luis’s men Enrique produced what was sometimes a football masterclass against his MLS opponents.
Miami showed a little more spirit in the second half, but even Lionel Messi, playing against an old team for the first time in his career, was able to avoid the PSG attack.

And Mascherano acknowledged full -time that his side was against one of the best teams in the world.
“It was a very, very big experience for us,” said Miami’s head.
“We were working hard, playing well during this tournament. We knew today it would be very, very difficult because (PSG) are probably the best team in the world.”
In the meantime, Enrique praised his players, but insisted that there was still room to improve.
“I have to say (is a) feeling of great,” said the main coach of the PSG. “I think we started the almost perfect game, trying to control the game and create many possibilities.
“I think we were big in the first half. In the second half it was different. Less energy and they (Inter Miami) could score a goal but I’m happy.”
“I am satisfied with all players, with the mentality and attitude. We need to improve as always because this is professional football. But I’m happy.”
PSG will assume Flamengo or Bayern Munich the last eight on July 5.
