Insomniac Games wants to join the PlayStation adaptation party

No one works harder to franchise their stuff than Sony. After the supporting cast of Spider-Man has repeatedly proven to be a live-action bustthe company is now returning to adapt PlayStation games to the TV and the big screen. From current hits like Horizon and Helldivers currently on the shelf Gravity Rush and Days Gone, it seems that something is viable to be adapted.

Insomniac Games, the studio behind it Ratchet & Clank and the recent ones Spider-Man titles, hopes to jump on that trend. In a recent Variety interview, future co-head Ryan Schneider – who will lead alongside Chad Durzen and Jen Huang when Current CEO/founder Ted Price leaves in March – said there was interest in bringing the studio’s games to TV and film. The developer had an “early start” with the Ratchet CG film from 2016, which was also accompanied by a PlayStation 4 remake of the original game that integrated plot points and scenes from the film.
