“It’s great with people. He has a lovely sense of being able to set a mood on the set,” says Warner in sitting down in September 2017 Larry King. “So people would (would) come to work on our show and be amazed at the truth, affection and sincere respect we all had for each other. Among the cast and crew, there was always a great feel and that comes down from the top.”

Two months before his death, Warner reflected on how Posby balanced his career when he was on the hours of popularity.
“We arrived at the point where we got it down to four days and Thursdays after we tapped, he would jump on a plane and would go to either Vegas, Tahoe or Atlantic City or somewhere and would make a stand-up Friday, Saturday and Sunday,” he remembered during the May 2025 chapter of May 2025 from the chapter of The May 2025 “Hot and trouble” podcast. “He would be the first person back to work on Monday. This is when getting the No. 1 show in the world. I watched, and made me understand when you’re hot, that’s when you’re grinding … that’s when you’re stacking all the chips.”
