Food Influencer Rebecca Wylie Simms Dies at 39 Mourning by Mandy Moore

Rebecca Wylie Simms (otherwise known as Boo Simms) died aged 39 following complications from a recent operation.

“It is with great sadness that I share the terrible loss of my twin and co-founder, Boo Simms, who passed away this week from complications of a tragic operation,” Rebecca’s twin, Sarah Simms Hendrixdivided into Instagram statement Sunday, January 19. “This loss is immeasurable, and our hearts are completely broken.”

Sarah, 39, referred to her sister as a “magic maker” and “the brightest light I’ve ever known” in her social media post.

“We ask for your patience and understanding as we navigate this extremely painful time,” he added.

The twins owned Lady & Larder cheese and wine shop, which had two locations – one in Santa Monica and the other in Carmel. Apart from being a business owner, creative director, artist and mother.

“Our Carmel Valley location will be closed until further notice,” Sarah wrote on Sunday. “Our Santa Monica location will remain open to serve you with the continued love and care that that Boo always poured into everything we do.”

Concluding her tribute, she added, “Your continued support means more than words could ever say. Thank you, from the depths of my being, for standing with us during this unimaginable time.”

Further details of Rebecca’s operation are yet to be revealed. (Her husband survives her Sean Montesalong with daughters Mavis, 3, and Bertie, 2.)

Celebrities, including Mandy Moore a Busy Philippsadd their own messages to Sarah’s message.

“This is beyond heartbreaking,” Moore said. “We love you and your family so much. There are no words but to hold you and her beautiful family in my heart.”

Philipps added his own comment, writing, “Oh Sarah. I’m sorry for your loss. Sending you and your family so much love.”

Rebecca’s brother, Matt Simmsalso shared a tribute to his late sister via Instagram.

“I never imagined living in a world without you in it. You were such a force of nature – so vibrant, brilliant, and full of life. Your radiant smile and infectious energy brought color to every room and joy to every person who was lucky enough to meet you,” she wrote on Monday, January 20. “You were the most amazing mother to Mavis and Bertie and’ the best sister i could ever ask for. for. I will cherish the countless memories we made together over the years and hold them close to my heart forever.”

Matt wrote that his sister’s loss was “impossible to understand” as his tribute continued.

“I find the smallest comfort in knowing that you are at peace and reunited with Dad,” she added. “I promise to care for and nurture your daughters with every fiber of my being, ensuring they are always surrounded by love and receiving an endless supply of hugs.”

Matt’s message concluded: “I miss you more than words can express and will carry your essence and spirit with me always. Being your brother was the greatest privilege of my life. I love you infinitely.”
