Hiking influencer Hannah Moody She was honored by her loved ones in social media tribute months after her death at the age of 31.
“To Hannah’s followers who may not have heard, Hannah went to be with the one she loved in heaven this past,” the Instagram Read headline, shared on Monday, August 11, via Moody’s official account. “She died doing what she worshiped – hiking the Arizona mountains. Know that you are all valuable and loved by her and she would want nothing more than for all of you to find Jesus and know his goodness and love for you.”
The statement concluded, “We lose Hannah terribly, but we know that she is in such a beautiful place that this earth pleases compared. Rest in his peace, sweet girl; we see you on the other side. ❤️.”
Alongside the post, the later influencer counted sharing a picture of her looking away to the distance while on a walk. “Hannah Rose. 1993 – 2025,” read the text.
Moody was found dead on May 22 at the end of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve Pathway in Scottsdale, Arizona.
“Maricopa County Sheriff’s air unit located Hannah’s body around 12:05 pm, about 600 yards off the path,” said the Scottsdale Police Department in a statement at the time. “Scottsdale detectives and crime scene personnel will now be conducting a thorough investigation into what happened to Hannah and how he died. Our investigation will be in collaboration with the medical explorer’s Maricopa County Office, which will eventually determine the cause of death.”
After finding the body of Moody, her mother said Arizona’s family that her loved ones assume Her death was “related to heat.” Terri moody Added, “But that is inconclusive. There were no signs of dirty play. It’s like a mystery to us at the moment. We’re trying to fragment it all together.”
In June, the Medical Auditor’s Maricopa County Office confirmed that Hannah had died of environmental heat exposure. Her death was awarded as an accident.
Next month a full report on the circumstances about her death was released, revealing that her body had been found “Deceased and disassembled” Two days after she failed to return from a hike.
Apparently, the temperature where Hannah’s body was located was as high as 103 degrees. Hannah’s body was found with “right shoulder scratches and lower extremities.” The toxicology report came back negatively about “ethanol, screened drugs of mistrust and selection of therapeutic medicines,” which noted that it had “minimal” levels of creatinine and urea nitrogen.
