The BCCI was founded in 1928 when India was governed by the British. The original BCCI logo has its roots in the badges of the “star of India”, a symbol introduced during the British colonial government to honor the Indian princes and elites. In a way, the BCCI logo or the logo of the Indian Cricket National Team still has a connection with the colonial past of the country.
The original logo presented a golden star embedded in a radiant pattern of sun: symbols of prestige, honor and imperial heritage.
