In a surprise play, the old Indian batter supported Sai Sudharsan to debut in the test at the crucial place number 3 in Leeds. Sudharsan, which had an excellent IPL 2025 season with more than 750 runs, has been rewarded for its consistency and its composition in the red ball cricket.

Interestingly, Chopra dropped out of Karun Nair, who made a strong comeback in the tests after marking the massive tests on the house cricket. Nair even scored a double century for India against England Lions, but has not yet found any place in Chopra XI.

The Click Possit reserves the number 4 of India’s new test captain, Shubman Gill. Chopra then chose Ris Habh Pant as a Baccalaureate-Bat and the number five in India despite having a poor IPL 2025 season with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Another noteworthy omission is the talented Washington Sundar. The Off-Pinner worked well in a series of test against New Zealand and Australia. He was even chosen before Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadja, but Chopra went out of the loof for the Leeds test.

His average order has a complete trio of Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ravindra Jadja and Shardul Thakur. Nitish impressed during the recent border-Gavaskar trophy, where he played the five tests.

Speaking of his selection, Chopra said, “I’m still playing Nitish Kumar Reddy at 6, as a batter who can give you a few more, but purely mainly as a batter. Ravindra Jadja, which is my round, and Shardul Thakur is my rotation. But I am considering Shardul as a full bowling option in Leeds.”
