In a historical movement for India and the whole world, the cricket is officially expected to return to the Olympic Games after a long wait of 128 years, and the excitement is electricity among fans and interest groups in the world. According to The Guardian, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has decided that the participating teams will be ranked by a regional system for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics during the annual meeting held in Singapore.
This means that the best classified team in each region -Asia, Europe, Oceania and Africa -will get a place at the 2028 Olympic Games. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) prefers this regional system because it offers teams around the world the opportunity to participate.
Pakistan and New Zealand out of race for the 2028 Olympic Games
If they follow this system, India will be classified from Asia, South -Africa from Africa and Australia from Oceania. From Europe, England will qualify, but at the Olympic Games they will play as Britain. This means that the team will consist of players from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, according to Olympic rules, for the global event.
However, a qualification place will be maintained and officials have not yet announced how it will be filled. But this system has already caused great disappointment in some countries, especially Pakistan and New Zealand, as they are likely to be lost in the current format.
Both Pakistan and New Zealand are not happy with the decision, but although it has not yet been officially approved, it seems unlikely that a change has a ticket at the 2028 Olympic Games. There is also some uncertainty with the US cricket, but India, Australia and the USA confirmed to participate in the Olympic Games.

If the USA fails, a Caribbean country could get the 2028 site
If problems with the United States is not resolved soon, there is a possibility that a Caribbean team can be collected. However, this will also come up with another problem. The western Indies, which is a group of Caribbean nations playing together in the Cricket, cannot participate in the Olympic Games as a single team.
Therefore, one of the countries on the Caribbean Island could be selected to represent the region in the global event. However, they will not be able to claim the North -American Regional Site because the USA already have this place as a host nation. However, the final line is not yet confirmed.
