India 20-day girl found a buried struggle for a lifetime

According to the hospital authorities, a 20-day girl who was found buried alive in the Northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh is fighting for survival.

It was found by accident when the shepherd who took the goats to the area for grazing, heard the weak shouts coming from the Earth’s mound.

After he came closer, he saw a tiny hand out of the dirt. After he warned the villagers, the police who came and dug a child was summoned.

Police did not say who is suspected of the crime, but such cases of refusal and attempts to kill women are blamed for India’s preference for sons, which, according to wide recognition, is the cause of its distortion of the gender.

The incident took place in the area of Shahjachanpur in the most popular state of India. The child is treated in the intensive care unit of the newborn Government College and Hospital.

Director of the Medical College D -R Rajes Kumar told the BBC that the infant was brought on Monday, greased with dirt and gasping for the air when the dirt entered the mouth and nostrils.

“It was in critical condition, it showed signs of hypoxia or oxygen deficiency. It was bitten by insects and some animal,” D -Kumar said.

“After 24 hours, we saw a slight improvement in her condition, but she has deteriorated since then. It has developed an infection,” he added.

Dr. Kumar said he believed that the child was found shortly after the funeral when her “wounds were fresh”.

He said a team of doctors, including a plastic surgeon, treated the child, and they tried to control her infection, he said.

“The forecast is serious, but we try to save it,” he added.

A police official said their attempts to find the child’s parents have not succeeded yet. The children’s line in the state was informed about the child, the official added.

The Shahgehanpur incident is not the first time a woman died in India. In 2019, the BBC reported a premature newborn baby, which was found buried alive in a clay pot. After weeks at the hospital doctors said she had resumed.

As you know, in India, one of the worst gender in the world. Women are confronted with life -long social discrimination, and girls are seen as a financial burden, especially among poor communities.

Companies say the traditional advantages of the sons meant that millions of women have been lost over the years.

Although most unwanted women’s fetus are overcome with the help of illegal floor determination, the cases of dead girls after birth are also not uncommon.
