Bill Maher has made it clear that he regards the “crazies” within democratic party in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.
When asked why he mocks the left more than he used to, he said, “You’re damn right, because you’re giving me more material. I’m a comedian. I’m going to go where the gold is.’ Maher expanded on his comedy, adding, “I think humor is one of the best ways to get the truth across, maybe the best, especially in politics,” and that “When someone laughs, it’s involuntary. That way, you can get your audience to agree with you, even if they really don’t want to.”
The interviewer responded by saying, “But woke people don’t always laugh.” Maher agreed, replying: “That’s one of the problems I have with the left. They can’t stand to hear anything they don’t already agree with. Not that the right doesn’t do it, too, but the left does it worse.”

Maher also touched on how his liberal friends can’t stand him inviting conservative guests like Ann Coulter onto his show. “I had liberal friends who just couldn’t stand it. Just think what it is,” Bill pauses dramatically, “it’s people who hate me for what I won’t hate,” repeating again, “People who hate me for what I won’t hate.”
After asking, “Why do people on the left find it impossible to be close to those they disagree with?” Maher responded by saying, “It’s in their psychological profile, they just have a need for virtue signaling and for their friends — and I guess everyone on social media — to see them as good people. “We are good people .. We know who is good and it is us.”
Many have speculated whether Maher is considering a party switch, Maher has refuted the notion, stating: “A lot of Republicans say, “Maybe we could get Bill Maher.” No, you can’t. What you might get is Bill Maher being honest about the left. I’m not going to join your team that doesn’t believe in democracy.”
Although he himself has no plans to switch parties, Maher noted that there are voters who “are not particularly in love with Trump, not blind to his many flaws, but they just feel that the lunatics on the left are somehow worse. “I don’t agree with them, but I understand that I don’t hate them for voting for him.”

Maher also had choice words for the younger generation, with one of his problems with them being that “they have no idea, no perspective. Of course, if they got into elite universities, that is. – factories, they have been indoctrinated into the idea that they live in the worst country in the world at the worst time in history, when in fact they are living, with all our faults, still probably in the best, by far and away, the best time in history.” .
While Maher believes the country needs a metaphorical “column,” he adds that he’s “like America” and that “America doesn’t need a revolution,” contrary to what some on the political fringes believe.
He believes Republicans will continue to dominate Democrats in elections until the Democratic Party can “convince itself that this is a misunderstood vehicle for what the people really want,” adding, “They often say when they lose an election, ‘We’re did.” do not bear our message.’ Yes, they didn’t like it.

In Maher’s last statement, the interview was as if he was addressing Vice President Kamala Harris himself, he declared: “You lost a crazy contest to a real crazy person. Congratulations.”
