“I’m not Messi” – Rodri claims that Manchester City cannot take after disappointing

Rodri insisted that he could not fix a single form of Manchester City after starting his first Premier League in 11 months in the Sunday defeat 2-1 in Brighton.

The International Spain, which recovered from a long -term ACL injury, returned to the beginning of Pep Guardiola’s 11th, but could not prevent the league’s defeats on the back.

The Brajan Gruda strike sealed the victory for the hosts after James Milner annulled Erling Haaland’s opening from the penalty site.

“I’m not Messi. I won’t win the team again and win,” Rodri said after the game. “This is a collective; when we won in the past, I needed all my teammates.

“Surely I have to recover and find my best level. It’s not because I win again. It’s a collective sport. So good after the break we can return much better.”

Rodri admitted that the city’s mistakes damaged them during a start of the season.

“Some of the mistakes we are making are the mistakes of the children, do not concentrate and pay attention,” he said. “The reality is that we have to climb the level if we want to compete.

“It is a matter of the team, the changes, the new players have to adapt and, when you change the team, it is difficult. This is our reality, it is not excuses.”

Milner, who left the place in the 67th minute against his former club, dedicated his equalizer to the ex-team Diogo Jota, who died tragically in a car accident.

“It was horrible (what happened to Jota),” Milner told the BBC. “He was a great guy and a great teammate. He loved him as both. I didn’t mark for six years and he had his number. Obviously I have the help of the great man.

“It’s good to get the target in a victory. I am delighted by the boys.”
