Raïka Hazanavicius in ‘The 7 Lives of Lea’
Netflix7 Léa LifeBased on the novel 7 Léo Life by Nataël trappbegins as many teenagers – a teenager, léa (played by Raïka Hazanavicius), struggles to find their place at a party full of other dissatisfied young people. But things take a wild turn when she stumbled on a 30 -year -old skeleton. After reporting the annoying discovery, she goes to sleep – just to wake up in the body of Ismaël (played by Khalil Ben Ghaharbia) – 30 years in the past.
It is soon revealed that Ismaël is the person whose remains discovered Léa (in 2021). But traveling into his body is just the start of a strange adventure.

NetflixLéa Time Travel Experience Mechanics is what gives its name to the series, as it is very different to your typical Freaky Friday or Face/off Body exchange position. For seven days, Léa falls asleep in 2021 (like herself) and “wakes up” in a different body in 1991 – living out their evening stories.
Léa soon realizes that her own parents could have been involved in the murder of Ismaël. In the future, she researches and seeks to find out anything she can for the secret cause, unresolved – and in 1991, she tries to prevent it from happening. It’s a mysterious series, hopping timeline that fits together as perfect puzzle pieces.

NetflixAs a fun bonus for Millennials, this show is a perfect comparison of a photo of teenage culture from the 90s with today’s culture. The fashion, music and technology that Léa encounters on all of its time travel journeys are remarkably accurate in terms of period, though with a French background.

Without spoiling anything, I would say only that 7 Léa Life Includes the perfect balance of questions and answers, telling a complete story that entires you in its seven chapters. It will leave you wanting more, but not because the story feels incomplete – just because it’s told so perfectly.
