Crush He has a wealth of wealth for movie lovers in August, even beyond the regular influx of new titles.
Earlier this month, the Streamer added one of this year’s best horror titles, The monkeyand the well -reviewed acting comedy Copshop arrives on August 11.
Both of those are really good movies but the same Hulu movie you have to watch in August is A sharp cornerpsychological excitement film by writer and director Jason Buxton Based on a short story by Russell Wangersky.
This film is different from the vast majority of films, and Watch with us shares the three reasons why you have to watch A sharp corner It’s Hulu.
Ben Foster in the sharp corner
Vertical Entertainment /Everett Courtesy CollectionLegs Stars in the film as Josh, a relatively successful family man who is married to Rachel (Cobie Smulders) and live with their son, Max (William Kosovic). After moving into their ideal home, the family discovers that it is located in a sharp corner prone to deadly accidents. The first time it has happened, the family’s sense of safety in their own home is irrevocably shattered.
Josh’s response to the ongoing accidents includes efforts to make the corner safer for drivers and his family. However, he lets his obsession with accidents eat his hourly waking up. There is nothing more important to Josh than solving this problem or training to be prepared to help any potential accidents. And it could cost Josh everything he appreciates in his life.
Ben Foster in the sharp corner
Vertical Entertainment /Everett Courtesy CollectionFoster carries A sharp corner on his shoulders with one of the best turns of his career. It’s too soon to predict if Foster will get any Oscar thrill, but there was a limited theatrical statement earlier this year. In my opinion, he deserves an Oscar nomination for his performance as Josh, who alternately sympathizes and harasses.
It is only partly that Josh can partially express how badly he was damaged by the first two accidents in the house, and his wife simply will not engage with him. Much of Josh’s turmoil and his subsequent obsession are quietly conveyed by the face and language of the Foster body. Is Josh trying to regain his power by preparing for future accidents? Or does he suffer from untreated PTSD? The film largely leaves what is vulnerable to interpretation. But he does not introduce Josh’s behavior as a heroic, especially late in the film when he goes to some suspicious moral extremes.

A sharp corner It can experience the patience of some viewers, and it is not a conventional story. In some ways he reminds me of NightcrawlerExcitement Film 2014 stars Jake Gyllenhaal. The only steps you will see in this film are the circular car accidents and their result. The real drama of this Fflic is Josh’s inner turmoil and the price he pays for giving his obsession over everything else in his life.
If you stick to the film, the third act rewards a remarkably realized tension as Josh awaits an accident with complete certainty that it will happen. We are not going to ruin the specifics, but the finale felt like the right choice for this film.
