The recent Peter Falk it would probably be entertained that Columbo remained famous 22 years after the last time he played the character and nearly 14 years after his death. Mind Poker face. Columbo uses inverted mysteries. That means the identity of the murderer and the victim is immediately revealed to the audience. The restraint and mystery comes from Columbo himself, and will crack the cause in time to keep the murderers from escaping justice.
Almost all of the series’ mysteries have been made in the same ending, and yet fans seem to never get tired of it. It’s mysterious show comfort food, and even Catchphrase Columbo, “just one more thing,” is a great running gag before finding new life as a popular meme.
