England’s possibilities to qualify for the Cricket ICC 2027 World Cup have had a great blow after the last annual update of the International Cricket Crypt of Hate Ranking. The 2019 World Cup champions have dropped to eighth place, now sitting below Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and Afghanistan with only 84 rating points in the last ICC Hatre rankings.
England won only 3 of 14 hatred on May 4, 2024, on May 5, 2025, with a proportion of gains/losses of only 0.272, which is better only than Nepal (0.200) and Bangladesh (0.142). Their bad form puts them a serious risk of losing their automatic qualification for the CPI World Cup 2027.
The World Cup Hate 2027 will have 14 teams. South -Africa and Zimbabwe are already described as hosts for the 2027 edition of the tournament. But Namibia, despite being co-amfitrions, will not get an automatic entry as they are not a complete member of the CPI. Apart from the hosts, the first eight teams in the ranking hate from March 31, 2027, will be ranked directly.

The first 8 teams in the ICC rankings hate on March 31, 2027, they will obtain direct qualification for the World Cup of Hate 2025. At present, England is at one point ahead of the western Indies, which are located in the ninth with 83 rating points in the last ICC Hatre ranking. The two sides will face a crucial series of three matches hate from May 29.
If England loses the next three -game series against the West Indies from May 29, they risk falling to the ninth in the ranking, promoting the 2019 World Cup champions in the ninth place. This would force them to play the world cup rankings for the first time, emphasizing the danger they have now.
With Harry Brook at the helm, England will need a dramatic improvement in performance to avoid passing the world cup rankings. Last time, the West Indies faced the same situation, but could not qualify for the World Cup of Hate of 2023 in India.
In the meantime, England will host the western Indies in a three -game T20i series and a series of three games from May 29. The three hate will be played on May 29, June 1 and June 3 in Birmingham, Cardiff, and Oval, respectively, while three T20is are scheduled on June 6, June 8 and June 10 in Durham, Bristol and Southampton, respectively.

The western Indies have announced the template hatred for the next series in the United Kingdom, while the hosts have not yet revealed their Hate and T20I teams for the Home series. Before hosting the western Indies, the English side is scheduled to play a single test against Zimbabwe this month.
