Recently, South -Africa crushed Australia by five doctors to become WTC champions at Lord’s.
At the WTC 2025-2027, a total of 27 series and 71 games will be played between the nine participating teams. Each team will play six series: three at home and three away. Each series can have two to five trial games, according to the individual team calendar.
The point system is the same as the last WTC edition. A team will win 12 points to win, and a draw will give 6 points to each team, while the teams will get 4-4 points for the tie and a loss wins them zero points. If a team falls behind the required rate in a match, it loses a point for each more that is short in the WTC standings.
As each team plays a different number of games, the rankings are based on the percentage of points they win, called PCT (percentage of points). The two teams with the highest PCT at the end of the league stage will face the final of the World Test Championship in 2027 at Lord’s.
