Hunger “currently plays” in gas, warned by experts supported

“The worst hunger scenario is currently playing” in the gas strip, warning the world’s security experts.

A report issued by an integrated classification of the Food Security Phase (IPC) states that there is evidence that broad fasting, malnutrition and illness cause the growth of deaths among 2.1 million Palestinians.

“Recent data show that hunger thresholds have been reached for food consumption in most gas lane and for acute malnutrition in Gaza,” he adds.

UN agencies already warn that Gaza has man -made, mass hunger, and this month reported 63 malnutrition. They accused the crisis in Israel, which controls the entry of all supplies to the territory.

Israel imposed a common blockade for help and commercial gas supplies in early March and two weeks later restored to Hamas, breaking down the two -month ceasefire. It states that he wants to put pressure on an armed group to release his Israeli hostages.

The IPC states that it is necessary to take action immediately to stop the hostilities and allow unobstructed, large -scale, rescue humanitarian response.

The report does not officially classify the gas as hunger, saying that it can only be done by analyzing, which will be conducted “without delay”.

IPC – a global initiative of UN agencies, assistance groups and governments is the main mechanism that the international community uses to conclude whether hunger is going on.

Households are classified as a phase of IPC 5 (catastrophe) when they experience a stunning lack of food, starvation and depletion of strategies.

In order for the hunger to be officially declared in a particular area, there must be evidence that:

• At least 20% of households are on phase 5
• At least 30% of children suffer from acute malnutrition
• There are two deaths for every 10,000 inhabitants a day, or four deaths of a child out of 10,000 children, “out of open hunger or malnutrition and illness”

In May, the IPC warned that the whole population of Gaza was facing high -level food security and that 470,000 people (22%) face “catastrophic” levels or 5.

The IPC message issued on Tuesday said that the bombing and expansion of Israeli military labor over the past two months had a “devastating influence” on civilian population and critical infrastructure.

Human access across the gas also became “anxious and extremely dangerous” over the same period, he adds, noting that the UN has recorded the killing of more than 1000 people seeking the help of Israeli forces.

“Nothing is impossible if there is no ceasefire.”

The World Food Program and UNICEF expressed the alarm that two hunger thresholds – food consumption and acute malnutrition – were broken in gas areas.

They warned that the collection of reliable data on the third doorstep – death related to fasting – in the current circumstances was “very difficult, since health care systems, which have already been reduced by almost three years of conflict, are being destroyed.”

On Monday, the Gaza Ministry of Health said in Gaza that 14 more people were killed in the previous 24 hours. This brought the number of deaths related to the malnutrition after the war started 147, including 88 children, the ministry reports.

The World Health Organization also stated that the gas in Gaza had 63 malnutrition, including 24 children. It noted that the bodies of most dead showed “clear signs of heavy waste”.

“The unbearable suffering of Gaza residents is already understandable to see the world. The expectation of the official confirmation of the hunger to provide the rescue food aid they desperate is ill-considered,” said WFP Executive Director Cindy McCain.

“We need to flood the gas with large -scale food, immediately and without obstacles, and continue flowing every day to avoid mass hunger. People are already dying from malnutrition, and the longer we expect to be above the deadly.”

WFP and UNICEF said that “barely trickle” that the Gaza population was needed, has come in since Israel had partially mitigated its blockade, and that more than 62,000 tons of assistance – an equivalent of about 3100 trucks – is required every month to cover the main humanitarian food and help.

At a press conference in Jerusalem, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said the situation was “tough”, but it was a “lie” that Israel intentionally hung on the population.

“Who is responsible for this tough reality? … It’s Hamas,” he said. “Is there any hunger policy? No, the opposite.”

Saar said that over the past two months, Saar has entered the gas, and that Israel is “strange efforts, including this week, opening these humanitarian corridors, guards in any possible ways.”

The Cogat Israeli Military Corps, which coordinates gas entry, said on Monday the UN and other international organizations were assembled with intersections and other international organizations, and hundreds of more were waiting for collections.

However, Gaza residents said they practically did not improve the availability of food because Israel has announced new measures to alleviate assistance.

UN Humanitarian Head Tom Fletcher said most UN dishes that were entered on Sunday were plundered, but stated that it was a “desperate individual civilians”.

Israel has repeatedly accused Hamas of theft of assistance. However, on Sunday, The New York Times referred to high -ranking Israeli military officials that the military had never found evidence that an armed group systematically stole assistance to the UN.

Last week, Reuters also reported that the US government’s internal analysis did not reveal evidence of the US -funded Hamas system.

The Israeli military launched a campaign in Gaza in response to the attack under the guidance of Hamas on South Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed about 1,200 people and took 251 people hostage.

According to the Ministry of Health, at least 60,034 people were killed in Gaza.
