Wwe remember Hulk Hogan on Smackdown Friday night One day after the death of the legendary wrestler.
The show opened on Friday, July 25, held at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, with WWE’s Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque (aka triple h) on stage surrounded by the Smackdown duties list and WWE legends including Jimmy Hart. Ted dibiase. Sergeant. Mow and “HAKSAW” JIM DUGGAN.
“Ladies and ladies, yesterday we lost one of the greatest and most recognized icons in the world,” said Levesque, 55. “A man who was brought up watching, was fortunate enough to share the ring with so many of us and as many of us, an honor of calling a friend. The truth is, he charmed millions of people and inspired them around the world.
Levesque then introduced a ten -ball salute, followed by the Cleveland crowd chanting “Hogan!” As a video began a montage of the wrestler’s career.
Undoubtedly, Hulk Hogan was vital to WWE’s stratosphere popularity during the 1980s and 1990s, but he was also a very controversial figure on screen and off. Grave died on Thursday, July 24After suffering a heart suspension at his home, according to the Clearwater Police Department. He was transported to a local hospital where he was later identified.
He was 71 years old.
One of the most prolific and popular professional wrestlers ever, Hogan made his first appearance in WWE in November 1979 and had a decade -long relationship with the company that was not EBBS, flows and arguments.
Hogan made his last appearance on WWE programming in January, when he appeared in Los Angeles to Crude‘S on netflix.

On social media, Levesque said no one was “more flushing” than Hogan.
“He was the archetype of what he meant to be a ‘superstar’ – a world feeling that inspired millions to work hard on whatever they wanted to achieve and a look that made it identifiable to fans around the world,” wrote Levesque, 55, By x on Thursday.
He added, “There was no one like the Hulkster and very well there may never be another. My family sends their condolences to his family, friends and supporters.”
WWE HALL OF FAMER The undertakerwho defeated Hogan for the WWE Championship in the Survivor series in 1991, expressed his sympathy on social media.
“The wrestling world has lost a true legend. Its contributions to our business are immeasurable and for that I’m appreciative,” the undertaker, 60, wrote By x. “Thank you, Hulk Hogan.”
