Bush Forest Fire near the Grand Kanyon in the US destroyed dozens of buildings – including a historic house that was the only housing available in the surrounding northern clothing of the National Park.
The fire that destroyed the Lodge of the Great Canyon is one of the two, which swept into tens of thousands of hectares in the area.
Inspenses also made the closure of the northern rim for the rest of the 2025 tourist season.
Authorities in Arizona are still working on the detention of the fires called the Fire of the Dragon Bravo and the fire of the white sage.
Located approximately 8,000 feet (2438 m), the Grand Canion bed also included dining rooms, a souvenir shop and a post office. It has been operating since the 1930s.
“As the heads of our favorite national treasures of our country, we are devastated by the loss of the Big Canyon’s lodge,” Aramark, which ruled the bed, said.
“We are grateful that all our employees and guests were safely evacuated,” the statement added.
It is reported that the injuries were not caused by a flame, which was raised by stable winds that reached up to 40 km/h (64 km/h).
But preliminary estimates of the National Park (NPC) service show that 50 to 80 buildings were lost by the Bravo Dragon’s fire, including administrative buildings and visitors.
The NPS were forced to evacuate from the chlorine leakage in a nearby cleansing institution, the NPS added.
Chlorine gas is heavier than air, and can settle in the lower hills, potentially presenting the risk for both firefighters and tourists in the area.
The second flame, the white sage, still burned more than 40,000 hectares of the national forest, forcing hundreds to evacuate.
Both fires are expected to be started by lightning, the park service reported.
Almost five million people visited the Grand Kanion in 2024, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.
The southern canyon rim remains open.
