A Houston pimp out on bail during a trial 20 months ago that, even in his absence, resulted in a 75-year prison sentence for human trafficking, is back in custody.
According to then-Harris County District Attorney Kim Og, an arrest warrant was issued for Thaddeus Allen, 36, in April 2023 after he failed to appear in court.
FOX 26 in Houston reported that Allen was back in custody after being admitted to a Houston hospital under an alias on New Year’s Eve. Investigators said Allen was in critical condition after overdosing on PCP and methamphetamine.
But that was only on Monday Harris County Sheriff’s Office The Violent Criminal Apprehension Team located Allen after receiving a tip.
TEXAS AUTHORITIES LOOKING FOR CONVICTED Pimps WHO KICKED OFF BEFORE GETTING 75 YEARS IN PRISON
“‘Ghost’ isn’t ‘Ghost’ anymore.” That was his nickname that he got not so appropriately because of his retirement to disappear at night,” Andy Kahan of Houston Crime Stoppers told the station. “That guy was a bad, bad dude. I mean, if you’re looking for a poster child for human trafficking, forced prostitution, taking girls and turning them into human traffickers, Thaddeus Allen would be #1.”
Houston Crime Stoppers did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for information about Sunday’s arrest.
Allen’s week-long trial began on April 10, and he appeared for the first five days.

But when the trial began on the sixth day, he did not appear for closing arguments in his case.
Although Allen was not in the courthouse, the jury deliberated after hearing about Allen’s lengthy jail term and found him guilty of human trafficking. Along with human trafficking, Allen was charged with promoting prostitution involving many women.
The jury handed down a 75-year sentence, half of which Allen will have to serve before he is eligible for parole.

Prosecutors described Allen as a “habitual criminal” with several criminal convictions, including eluding police and burglary.
When he was charged with human trafficking and other charges, Allen was released from custody after posting $200,000 bail.
“He was in and out of prison. I guess all of a sudden he said, “You know, this doesn’t look good for me,” and he said, “I’m not there. from here,” Kahan told FOX 26 last week. “Crime Stoppers, we’re offering a reward of up to $15,000 for any information, and I’m trying to figure out if one of our tips led to his arrest. It’s a good day that we they finally returned him to custody.”

Kahan added that the sheriff’s office caught up with Allen and that he remains in custody at the hospital. Once he is released, detectives told the station, Allen will go straight to prison.
