Australian Olympiad has been suspended by Australia after video photos that showed the riding horse -horse 42 times emerged.
Australian riding launched an investigation into Heath Ryan66, after the clip – who is apparently two years old – was posted through YouTube, reported several outlets including Australian ABC and Nine news On Thursday, June 12.
The video, posted through the YouTube channel “Dressage Hub,” has since been deleted.
Ryan competed at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, representing Australia in Dressage.
British rider Charlotte Dujardin announced that she had withdrawn from the Paris 2024 Olympics after photos of her claimed she was whipping one of her horses facing. In a statement to US Weekly, Riding Australia said he was “very frightening and anxious” by the pictures.
“Riding Australia is extremely appalling and is about treating the horse shown in this film,” said the organization in the statement. “Australian discipline’s complaints, disputes and discipline policy include high standards to protect all participants and their horses against any harmful physical, social and emotional conditions during all EA -approved riding activities carried out under EA auspices or by any the Environment Agency’s agentan agent.”
The organization confirmed that Ryan was a member of Australian riding and that a “thorough investigation” will take place and noted that he was “taking animal welfare issues seriously.”

Ryan defended his actions in the video via Facebook mail. He said the horse, called Nico, needed disciplinary action to save him from being put down after a poor accident and that his actions were for the “best interests of the animal.”
“Before this very poor accident Nico had always been a problematic child and would stop. This gradually got worse and worse until the accident,” wrote Ryan, explaining after the video’s events, he eventually re -homes the horse.
The Olympics may be a athletic -related event, but that doesn’t mean the most stunning things happen during the tournaments. “I’m so sad that this was caught on video. If I had been thinking of myself I would have started immediately and sent Nico to the Knackery,” said Ryan. “That video was a moment of life or death for Nico and I really had to try my hardest to see if Nico would consider other options.
He continued: “All this happened sincerely with the best interests of the horse the only consideration. Incredible, it was so successful to everyone except me with releasing this video.”
