Morrell is unknown
The Six Year Morrell (11-0, 9 kos) is not well known to fans to make them want to buy the event in payment by view. Morrell had excellent amateur credentials while in the Cuban national team, but North -Americans have not seen enough to sell.
Hearn claims that Morrell, 27, is not known to fans, which will hurt the success of the PPV. Benavidez needed a better known fighter to carry shopping. If Benavidez loses this fight, he is sunk. He will never be a PPV star and should focus on his B plane, passing through a cruise.
What Hearn comes out is that Benavidez is not a PPV draw either. And, although hardcore boxing fans know him well, he is not a great name among casual fans and has not been an attractive PPV. Benavidez did not contribute large PPV numbers for his fights against the Caleb plant and Demetrius Andrade. These are the largest names in your 12 -year -old resume.
Benavidez would be a much more popular fighter if he had spent 175 years instead of being in 168, pursuing a fight against Canelo Alvarez. This is the reason why he remained in Super Middleweight for all these years. Benavidez hoped to achieve a lucrative struggle against Canelo, but it never happened.
