George Kamboses Jr. He will challenge Richarson Hitchins for his heavy weight title IBF in June in New York if he is victorious on Saturday night against Jake Wyllie in Sydney, Australia.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has confirmed today that Kamboses Jr. (21-3, 10 kos) will fight against Hitchins (19-0, 7 kos) then, if things do well in his 12-round holder against Wyllie (16-1, 15 kos).
Interestingly, Hearn says that Wyllie could face Hitchins if he is victorious. Now this would be a surprise because it is not known to the North -Americans, and a party that involved it would not be sold in New York.
Hearn mentioning the possibility of winning Wyllie indicates that he has lost confidence in Kamboses. Its repeated poor shows since 2022 are a good reason for this.
George’s record 1-3 in his last four fights makes Heaarn be confident that his hands were put on Saturday. If it is not for Hearn wants to enter the Australian market For Matchroom, he would probably never have considered Kamboses to sign because he has a dead weight.
The money made by Kambos in Australia shows the promise. If Hearn can get a foot in the country, their fighters can take advantage of the situation.
The Hitch treatment
“Definitely, June in New York,” said Eddie Hearn in Ring Magazine About when George Kamboses Jr. vs. Richardson Hitchins will spend if everything goes on Saturday night in Kamboses’ struggle against his replacement opponent Jake Wyllie in Sydney.
“As soon as this struggle is over, we will start negotiations with the Kambosa team, and we will try to make the fight. Hitchins is over. It was already signed up for it. It’s not a problem for George. It made a lot of money.”
Hitchins have seemed desperate to fight with Kamboses because the highest fighters have been avoided at 140 due to their defensive style of struggle. It struggles a lot like Shakur Stevenson and sometimes does not want to involve -when he faces opposition with power. Hitchins was affected in his fights against Gustavo Lemos and Jose Zepeda because he was on his bike and he retired whenever he attacked.
In the last Hitchins contest against Liam Paro, he stayed in his pocket more and was ready to participate. This approach paid off, with him winning a divided decision of 12 rounds. His style is bad for Kamboses, and it is amazing that “the emperor” is ready to face it by the belt. However, George’s options are thin at 140.
He would not do well against the other champions, Alberto Puello and Gary Antuanne Russell. Theophimo Lopez would be the ideal option for Kambos to capture a belt in Light Welterweight, but pursues larger struggles. He will not take his race back to fight a boy who has possibly lost his last four fights.
“You saw him heading to Australia in front of 40,000. He has twice fought in Haney, Lomachenko, and defeated Teofimo Lopez in the Madison Square Garden,” said Hearn about Kamboses. “Therefore, he will return to America as a challenger, but a great challenger. Listen, he must go through Jake Wyllie.
“If Jake Wyllie wins on Saturday, he could fight Richardson Hitchins for the world title. So, first, you must first focus -in what is in front of you and it will be a hard struggle,” said Hearn.
Hearn must want to enter the Australian market to be willing to use Wyllie as a Hitchins challenger in June. This struggle would only make sense if it staged in Australia.
Hitchins does not have many options for interesting fights because the big names, Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia and Teophimo Lopez, will not fight without the participation of Turki Alshikh.
