Harvard sues the Trump administration after he recalled the university’s ability to record foreign students, increasing the dispute between the White House and one of the most prestigious institutions of America.

In a lawsuit filed in Boston, the university called the actions of the administration a “brazen violation” of the law.

This comes a day after the officials in the Homeland Security Department said they would withdraw Harvard access to programs for student visas.

The Trump administration says Harvard did not do enough to combat anti -Semitism and change the practice of hiring and admission – the allegations that the university strongly denied.

“We condemn this illegal and unjustified action,” said Harvard President Alan Garber in the letter.

“The recall continues a number of government action to avenge Harvard for refusing to hand over our academic independence and obey the illegal affirmation of the federal government to control our curriculum, our teachers and our student bodies.”

The university will also apply for a temporary restraint, he added.
