Harry Brook has been appointed Hate and T20i teams from the new captain of England, taking over from Jos Buttler, who left the team from the ICC 2025 Champions Trophy team last month at Pakistan. The England Cricket Board announced the Brook appointment on April 7.
Brook, known for his explosive leadership and the leadership of fresh heads, has been a key part of the white ball configuration of England since his debut in January 2022. The talented batter, which is currently in the number 2 place in the classification of the ICC Test Batting, has also served as vice-chapter in both formats over the past year.

He also directed England in the Hate series against Australia last September in the absence of Jos Buttler, where he impressed many with his quiet and intelligent decision -making. Brook also caught the U-19 of England’s side during the 2018 World Cup in New Zealand.

The Cricket Board of England and Wales (ECB) said in an official statement: “Yorkshire’s batter Harry Brook, has been appointed new captain of the male white ball teams in England.”

In T20 International, he has accumulated 798 runs in 44 games, with a higher marker of 81 unbeaten. He was also part of the England team that won the T20 World Cup in 2022.
