The Star Wars actor and Ally mcbeal Alum met initially in 2002 Golden Globe Awards. Reports circulated at the time that Flockhart was addressed by her prospective husband Deliberately dropped a drink on itBut Emmy’s nominee later said that was not the case.
“We were having a conversation for maybe 20 minutes before the wine poured, and the truth is, Harrison poured the wine!” Said Flockhart Hi! Magazine in June 2003.
In the same interview, the Witness Gushed star for his romance with Flockhart, which is 22 years younger. “I’m in love,” Ford told the outlet. “Romantic love is one of the most exciting and fulfilling forms of love, and I think it has the potential to be at any stage in your life. I wasn’t surprised that I was able to fall in love, and I wasn’t surprised to do so.”
Flockhart, for her part, said the age difference of the pair was not something she thought much about. “It doesn’t thrive me,” he explained. “It doesn’t factor in our relationship at all. I like the way it looks the first thing in the morning. It’s not handsome, it’s more cute. It looks like a little boy.”
The pilot offered to Flockhart in February 2009 after seven years of dating, and the duo tied the following year at a ceremony held at the governor’s mansion in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ford also adopted the son of Flockhart, Liam, who was born in 2001.
The couple have kept details of their relationship relatively private over the years, but sometimes they share funny stories about each other. In 2015, Flockhart revealed that Ford was “learning to text” at the age of 73, but did not fully grasp the concept of emojis. “He says, ‘Where would you get that picture?’” The Supergirl Alum said during appearance on Jimmy Kimmel alive! “It’s very bad.”
Later, Ford flirting did that the secret to a long marriage is silence. “Don’t talk,” quoted to Pared In February 2020. “Note your head.”
Before meeting Flockhart, Hollywood icon was married twice before: i Mary Marquardt Between 1965 and 1979 and to the late screenwriter Melissa Mathison between 1983 and 2004. The acting star and Mathison, who died in 2015, shared the son of Malcolm (born in 1987) and his daughter Georgia (born in 1990).
