Feature star John Reardon he revealed that he had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer.
Reardon, 49, took i Instagram on Tuesday, December 24, to share a photo of him sitting in a hospital bed, writing, “Last night was my first night out after recovering from tonsil cancer. It’s been a long road between these two pictures and the difference comes from the love and support I’ve had from my people in my life.”
The actor thanked those who supported him amid a health scare. “My amazing partner @officialmeghanory for taking on our whole world to help me heal,” Reardon wrote tagging his Hallmark co-star wife Meghan OryWorld Health Organization starred in Hallmark’s Believe in Christmas with him last month. “My brave children inspired me.”
Reardon – who is also known for his role in a Canadian police procedural drama Hudson and Rex – also expressed thanks to his family and friends.
“My father took me for a walk every day even when it was difficult for me to get out of bed – and I’m sure it was difficult for him to see his son in pain. My Mom @ocean__cottage made me soup and ginger honey tea and green juice so I could get calories in my body,” he continued. “My sister and brother @dr_laura_reardon @marcreardon81 who helped with the kids and life’s challenges when I couldn’t. All my in-laws, who are not only in-laws, are family, who brought food and cookies and discussed challenges with us.”
He continued: “Our nannies, our neighbors and everyone who sent food or love and support or messages and kind words and also all the amazing doctors, nurses, technicians, hospital workers, psychologists you are all my heroes and I thank you to you from the bottom. from my heart.”
After his cancer battle, Reardon shared some words of wisdom with those celebrate the holidaysconcluding, “Kindness is a trait that is undervalued in people. We should never underestimate him. Celebrate it and distribute it as much as possible. It’s free and life changing. Happy Holidays 🫶🏻.”
Reardon’s wife, Ory, reposted the photo to her Instagram Stories and include a sweet response.
“This man inspires me every day with his strength, kindness and love that never failed even when he was in crazy pain. You are my hero,” he wrote. “So proud of you @johnny_reardon_. And #cancerfree I love you love you love you.”
In the comments section of his post, Reardon received support from fellow actors.
Luisa d’Oliveirand wished Reardon a speedy recovery, writing, “Oh wow I’m sorry to hear this! So glad you are on the other side of it. Love and strength to you and your family ❤️.”
Meanwhile, Rebecca Mader sending good wishes following Reardon’s recovery. “So happy to hear you’re on the other side. Congratulations! Much love to you and yours! 🎄🙏,” she replied.
An actress Leah Gibson she also added a message of love, writing, “This is so hard to hear John but I’m so glad you have the love and support around your family that you need and deserve. Sending a huge hug ❤️🙏💕.”
