Guimaraes Strike sends Magpies to the sixth

Newcastle United started a big week passing to sixth place in the Premier League as a strike in the second half of Bruno Guimaraes was enough for victory to West Ham.

The side of Eddie Howe has the Carabao Cup final on the horizon and is now ready with the points with Manchester City and is well located for another tilt in the Champions League after such a necessary victory on the road.

West Ham saw Tomas Soucek a great opportunity for only 46 seconds from the party, as Newcastle had his good part of defensive Jitters.

But after the young lady, the Magpies were the brightest side and Harvey Barnes was denied twice by Alphonse Areola before the break.

Barnes has been given a chance to the left of Newcastle’s attack with Anthony Gordon, starting a three -party ban, and the former Leicester man was a constant threat.

First, his shot from Kieran Trippier’s pass was nailed before the French goalkeeper saved a nearby header.

Neither party was able to find the net in the first half, but the advance took place when Guimaraes took place in a bar of Barnes to establish the Magpies on the road to three points.

West Ham still does not have to win a game at the Premier League after awarding and, despite seeing a lot of ball, and sending Evan Ferguson, Danny Iings, Lucas Pocket and Carlos Soler, they couldn’t really try Nick Pope.

Mohammed Kudus, the bright light of the hosts, saw a powerful shot loaded at closing moments, but they seemed forceful.

The defeat leaves the Hammers 16 on the table, but they have a pillow of 16 more than healthy over the three miserable people.

One of the highlights for the people of the house was the striker Michail Antonio at the stadium for the first time since a car accident last year, and presented himself to the crowd before the game in emotional scenes.

With 68 goals, he is the highest scorer of the Premier League of West Ham and the supporters welcomed him on the pitch with a huge banner that covered a large part of the lower level behind a goal, reading “Michail Antonio-Our Our 9”.

Newcastle, on the other hand, can focus on a second final appearance of the League Cup in three years against Liverpool.

Can they finally end up 70 years of waiting for a domestic trophy?
