Gujarat Titans (GT), directed by Shubman Gill (GT), assumed the Riders Kolkata Knight (KKR) of Ajinkya Rahane in the 39th Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 game.

GT was invited to beat the game first and his first three batters shone again. Shubman Gill struck 90 runs while Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler collided with 52 and 41 runs, respectively, helping the Titans Post 198/3 on the board.
Defending the total, the Gujarat Titans bowls did a great job again. The six bowls: Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma, Prasidh Krishna, Rashid Khan, Washington Sundar and Sai Kishore – chose at least a wick to restrict KKR at 159/8.
Speaking after winning the game player’s prize, Shubman Gill said he is very pleased with the attached wins on DC and KKR. Said:

GT depends a lot on his first 3 in the battle order, and Shubman Gill revealed that they never talk about one of the first three batters in the middle until the end. Said:
“We never talk about this that one of us has to stay until the end. We only talk about how we can mark the races in these conditions and how to delve into the game. We were going ahead in the game, but it’s one thing ahead and another to close the game.”
While talking about his animated celebration after Venkatesh Iyer’s wick, Gill said he had just shown some emotions. Added that they still do not have to play a perfect game at IPL 2025. He said:
“So they were only some of my emotions (talking about their animated celebration after Venky Iyer’s wick). In this format, it’s hard to have a perfect game. There will always be some areas. As we could also have 10 that have more than I had more.
How did GT perform in the previous ending match against KKR?
The previous match between Gujarat Titans and Kolkata Knight Riders washed. Speaking of the game earlier, GT showed a performance commanding KKR in Eden Gardens on April 29, 2023, to achieve a victory of seven Wicket with 13 remaining balls at the 39th IPL 2023 game.
Opting first for Bowl, Mohammed Shami fired Narayan Jagadeesan and Shardul Thakur inside the PowerPlay. While Rahmanullah Gurbaz attacked with 81 out of 39 balls, the rest of the KKR’s shake formation collided with badly.
Pacer Josh Little launched a brilliant spell (4-0-25-2) in the half, and Noor Ahmad (2/21) supported the pacers. Despite the last fireworks of Andre Russell, KKR restricted to 179/7, which was a total below GT.
Pursuing the goal, Shubman Gill scored 49 of 35 balls to keep his impulse to his side soon at the entrances. Then Wriddhiman Saha and Hardik Pandya also came out with Gill, allowing KKR to stage a small comeback.
However, Vijay Shankar triggered a brutal attack and broke 24 dance 51*, while David Miller flew 32* of 18 balls when the Chase was completed at 17.5 points.
