Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain, Wicket’s captain and goalkeeper Sanju Samson has received the possibility of maintaining the BCCI (COE) center of excellence center. The Kerala -born cricket will be played as Wicketkeeper and Captain in the next games of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season games.
Sanju Samson injured his finger during the T20i series at home against England and had to undergo surgery. RR captain underwent surgery on the right index and was only given a limited authorization to play the IPL 2025 season. He participated as a specialist in the first three games.

The BCCI (COE) center of excellence in Bengaluru has given him a complete authorization to assume his double responsibilities.

Riyan Parag has led Rajasthan Royals to a victory in three games
Riyan Parag took over as captain of Rajasthan Royals, while DHRUV Jerrel managed the tasks of maintenance of the wick. Samson impressed with a half century (66) against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but was a lost cause. Scored 13 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and 20 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
After a harsh start on the back, the IPL’s inaugural champions bounced off with the first victory of the season against CSK in Guwahati. Samson still has to take the field as a goalkeeper so far. It is planned to take on the role of Dhruv Jewel’s Wicketepering in his next tournament games.
Sanju Samson established Captain Rajasthan Royals for the fifth consecutive season
Sanju Samson has become the 14th player in the history of the IPL to overcome the 4,500 race races. The 30 -year -old, who made his debut in 2013, played 171 games and reached the milestone in his 166th entrance.
Samson began his IPL trip with Rajasthan Royals in 2013. He spent two seasons with Delhi Capitals (2016-2017). Later he returned to RR, where he directed the franchise since 2021.
Under his captaincy, RR finished seventh in 2021, reached the final in 2022, but lost to Gujarat Titans, and lost the playoffs in 2023. They were eliminated at qualification 2 by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2024.
Samson has captured RR in 61 games, reaching 31 wins, 29 losses and a non-result. Look for a strong impact as Captain at IPL 2025.
