The investigation was launched after the grandfather mistakenly took home the wrong child from the Central Garden in Sydney, Australia.
On Monday afternoon, the man arrived to collect a grandson from the Academy of Training of the first steps in the southern suburbs of Bangor.
But he accidentally took home another child who slept in a dark room.
The mistake became understood only when the baby’s mother came to the center to find out that her annual age was not, Sydney Morning Herald reports.
“I can’t explain the feelings,” she told the newspaper.
“They couldn’t tell me their name (human) name, they couldn’t tell me who he could not tell me whom he should pick up. They couldn’t tell me what he looked like he was in the shorts and he was the older gentleman,” he explained not to call him.
As part of the security protocols, children’s centers do not allow children to collect anyone else, with the exception of recognized parents, guardians or guardians
But she also said that her grandfather was not guilty.
“We’re not angry with it. We are not upset by it – we blame your day’s help.”
The grandfather’s wife told The Sydney Morning Herald that her husband is “devastated” and “possesses”.
“When he understood, he was racing so quickly on this child,” she said.
The first steps told the BBC that the teacher who participated in the incident was inserted.
“We sincerely apologize to the families who directly participated in this deeply upset and isolated incident,” said the director of children’s kennels.
She added that she had never been to any of the first steps before, and she strengthened the procedure to “make sure it would never happen again.”
An investigation into “deeply against and a serious incident” is being investigated, New Southern Wales said on education and care.
The incident occurs during an increase in awareness related to safety in Australia’s children’s centers, and new legislative changes were announced last month aimed at raising security standards in the sector.
