Google On Friday, he was injured from 2.95 billion euros (3.45 billion dollars) of an antitrust fine of the European Union regulators for anti-component practice in his profitable business technology.
The European Commission, which is the EU executive body, has accused Google of distorting competition in the so-called Adtech market, unfairly preferring its own advertising technology services to competitors, advertisers and online publishers.
He also ordered Google to “bring these self -esteem practices” and “implement measures to stop the adtech supplies chain inherent in its inherent conflict.” The company has 60 days to answer.
“Today’s decision shows that Google has abused the dominant position in the Adtech Combization Publishers, advertisers and consumers. This behavior is not illegal in accordance with the EU antitrust rules,” said EU head Teresa Ribera on Friday.
“Google now has to come up with a serious means to resolve its conflict of interest, and if it does not, we are not ashamed to impose strong remedies.”
The head of the global Google Lee-en Malholland regulation has stated that the EU’s decision is “wrong” and the firm will appeal.
“This imposes an unjustified fine and requires changes that will hurt thousands of European business, difficult to make money,” Malholland said. “There is nothing anti -compancing in providing services to buyers and sellers, and there is more alternative to our services than if you earlier.”
The case goes back to 2021, when the EU first opened a probe on Google to evaluate whether the technological giant its own Internet technology services contributes.
The news comes after Reports Reuters Earlier this week the commission delayed the fine, as the regulators were waiting for the United States to cut tariffs on European cars as part of a trade transaction.
