Glasner jumps “amazing” eze but admits that the star has had a “strange season”

Oliver Glasner was filled with praise for Ebechi Eze after providing a goal and assistance to the Victory of the Crystal Palace FA Cup on Fulham, but admitted that the player had a “strange” season.

Eze got a good week in which he scored his first goal from Senior England, Eze went on a sublime strike before setting up Ismaila Sarr as his Palau won the 3-0 winners to move to the semi-final.

Eze opened the score to Craven Cottage when he cut off the left and produced a curling effort that his manager described as “an incredible finish.”

The 26 -year -old converted the supplier, crossing Sarr to double the visitor’s leadership. Substitute Eddie Nketiah added a third in the second half to reserve the palace site in the last four.

Eze has twice marked the Premier League this term and has produced six assists. But Glasner rushed to recognize the contribution of his star man.

“I think Ebbs (Eze) has had a very strange season because he does not have much goals in the Premier League, but he had so many possibilities,” said Glasner.

“It was so unfortunate in many situations. He had unleashed the goals, diverted the balls, hitting the post, but always continues.

“He fought with some injuries, also strange injuries with his foot and something. I think the goal against Latvia, his first goal for England, means a lot to him as a person and helped him.

“He always has confidence. We all know he has an incredible finish and can cut off his right foot and I think against Latvia, he scored in the near place. Here, it was a surprising finish in the distant publication.

“We need this quality, all teams need this quality, especially in the finish. It has helped us today, it has helped us definitely.”

The next Palau is a return to the Premier League action when traveling on Wednesday at the Bottom Southampton Club.
