“To be honest, I didn’t find out I was really autistic – of course I got my assumptions throughout my life – until we did the casting process for every 10 star and I went in for my psychiatric evaluation,” MINJ revealed when talking to Entertainment weekly For an interview announced on Saturday, June 14.
“The way I communicated, the therapist said, ‘Are you autistic? Are you on the spectrum?’ I had my doubts, but I said I had never been tested, ”he continued. “He said I would like me to be tested. So I did. I was tested, and I am.”
The A drag race Star went on to explain that the diagnosis puts “40 years of my existence in perspective.”
“I’ve learned so many different tools to be, this is not something that should hold me back,” he added. “It should be more power, strength to me. I pressed it. “I was preceding, my blood pressure was out of control, my sugar levels were off the charts,” he shared. “I had no energy, and I became ill to the point that they had fully pumped me from different medicines – including a lot of prednisone. It made me completely winding, to the point where I really thought I was going to die.”
He continued, “I decided to come back because he was a catalyst to get my life together. He put the kick in the ass I needed to get them under control.”
Since then, Minj says she has lost 160 lbs and is no longer prediabetic.
“My blood pressure is under control. I’m off those medicines. My mental health has never been better,” he said. “I have so much energy, love and happiness that I’m ready to share with the world.”
