Veteran Tyrrell, Anthony Hernon, says he will “show” his skills to defeat the former heavy weight champion of WBC Deontay Wilder on June 27 in his fight at Charles Koch Arena de Wichita, Kansas.
The San Antonio, the Native of Texas, Hernon (24-5, 14 kos), is a problem to be labeled as “bum” or “traveler” by some people since the announcement that would be the rival of Wilder (43-4-1, 42 kos) in which many see as a last type of fight against the “bronze bomber”.
Hernon admits that he thought a “traveler” was someone who came from the United Kingdom and traveling abroad to fight in the United States instead of a reliable but not prominent fighter. With five defeats, Hernandez, 37, is not exceptional, especially when you look at some of the boys you have lost.
The real problem is that Hernon has never defeated any remarkable opposition during his ten -year career. All his victories have been against the obscure fighters of which even hardcore boxing fans have never heard. Therefore, you can argue that your true record in Wilder’s struggle is 0-5 Instead of 24-5 because it is not proven.
When Herndon took a step against notable fighters, Richard Torrez Jr. It was flattened in two rounds in 2021, disqualified in three rounds by Brandon Granton in 2018 and went out in a round by Efe Ajaga in 2017.
This is 39-year-old Deontay’s last opportunity, which enters the struggle with a 1-4 record in its last five fights and needs a victory to keep hope for it to be used as an opponent for Anthony Joshua or one of the other popular heavy weights.
Wilder has worn his welcome to the Riyadh season events after losing to Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang. It is unlikely to be invited without turning around his career. Unfortunately, for “The bronze firefighter”, much more will be needed than to overcome the Hernom that does not contain it again.
“Whether people talk messy about what they should not be here, I’m here. I’m a ten -year -old professional, and I have lost five times in ten years, and I’m once or that I have seen, I’m a Jounreyman?” said Tyrrell Anthony Hernon to FANT OF THE PRO boxreacting to the criticism he has received since the announcement of being the next opponent of Deontay Wilder on June 27.
“For someone who has been doing ten years, I am a blow and a traveler. It’s crazy. I am happy to have this platform to show what this traveler can do. I am looking forward to it.
With Richard Torrez Jr. That oblite Herndon in two rounds, it is difficult not to see it as a traveler level. No matter if Herndon wants to accept the label you have given to you. He is a ten -year veterinarian without solid victories in his resume and has lost the three times he tried to increase. He was chosen as the opponent of Deontay because he has been seen as a fighter whom his managers think he can fight.
“We did not let the loss (to Richard Torrez Jr.) deterred us, and it caused the great opportunity of my life (fight against Wilder),” Herndon said. “I always had this crazy idea to the head that I would share the ring with Deontay Wilder. People will count me and I know.
“They think I’m coming to take money. It is up to me to show my skills in an important way on June 27 and to remove what they say is a nuisance for something I think I will do,” Herndon said.
