Ghislaine Maxwell not quite convinced Jeffrey Epstein He died by suicide.
Maxwell, 63, took part in several rounds of evidence released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Friday, August 22, and discussed Epstein throughout the More than 300 pages of recordings.
At one time during his conversation with Deputy Attorney General Todd BlancheMaxwell claimed that Epstein, who was found dead in his prison cell in August 2019, could have actually died because of an “internal situation.”
“In prison, where I am, they will kill you, or they will pay – someone can pay a prisoner to kill you for a $ 25 commission worth,” Maxwell told Blanche. “That’s about the ongoing rate for hit with a lock today.”
Maxwell also admitted that it was “possible” that someone outside the prison would have wanted Epstein to die. “But I don’t know for any reason why, and I don’t believe in the blackmail or any of this, I don’t think Epstein got a shot like that,” he explained. “If it’s a true murder, I think it’s an internal situation.”
He claimed that if someone wanted to kill Epstein, they could have done so before he was sent to prison in July 2019. “And I also think it was ridiculous, because if that were too – I also happen to think if that was what they wanted, they would have had enough opportunity when he was not in prison,” said Maxwell. “And if they were worried about blackmail or anything from him, it would have been a very easy target.”

In 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison for conspiring with Epstein to sexually abuse minors.
“Today’s sentence holds Ghislaine Maxwell liable for committing heinous crimes against children,” US attorney Damian Williams said in a DOJ statement at the time. “This sentence sends a strong message that no one above the law and it is never too late for justice. We again express our gratitude to the victims of Epstein and Maxwell for their courage in coming on, in testament to the trial, and sharing their stories as part of today’s sentence.”
Maxwell is currently imprisoned on the same lower security institution in Texas that houses the founder of Theranos Elizabeth Holmes and Real housewives from Salt Lake City aum Jen Shah. Holmes is currently a sentence of an 11 year fraud and Shah is casting her own six -year -old sentence for wire fraud.
Maxwell was moved to the Texas facility after meeting a Blanche. She has also stated through her attorney that she would be willing to testify about her and Epstein crimes to Congress, if she was given immunity from President Donald Trump.
“Well, I’m allowed to give her a pardon, but I’m – nobody has contacted me with him. No one has asked me for it,” The President told reporters in July. “It’s in the news about that, that aspect of it, but at the moment, it would be inappropriate to talk about it.”
