Gervonta Davis coach, Kenny Ellis

Gervonta Davis coach, Kenny Ellis, says Shakur Stevenson “lost the boat ” Not taking the fight with the tank when he was offered. Now they have “continued” to other things. Kenny claims that he thinks Shakur was trying to “grow old” and his trace will not work.

Aging claims

Ellis does not say when Stevenson (23-0, 11 kos) went on to fight him, but says he had his chance and lost. Newark’s native, New Jersey, tried to grow old, but it didn’t work. Now, he will have to live with him.

If Shakur can’t get Davis to fight, his choices at 135 are scarce. His career as a world title owner could end up abruptly for these fighters:

– Andy Cruz
– Raymond Muratalla
– Abdullah Mason
– William Zepeda
– Herrera Cores

To assume that the whole Shakur’s purpose to move to 135 was to hit the Jackpot with a money struggle against the Davis tank, it seems to have failed. She is young enough to go to 147 to chase fights against Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney. It may be a good Flat b Stevenson option instead of being light and having his career sunk by previous fighters. I do not see Shakur hitting Cruz, Mason, Herrera, Murrathalla or even Zepeda. They have too many offensive capabilities for him. It has glass hands that limit what it can do.

“I think I could grow old, but it never gets older,” said coach Kenny Ennis Millcity Boxing On his belief that Shakur Stevenson could try to “age” Gervonta Davis. “I don’t care because it could have happened. I don’t care much.”

It is difficult to believe that Shakur tried to grow old Davis tank. He has been calling Davis to the left and right since he moved to the light division in 2023. He has been almost asking for the tank’s struggle. Why would you try to grow old? That doesn’t sound right.

“People want you to do it when they want to do it. No, it does not work like this. We are the boxing face. You missed yourself; you missed the boat. You missed the boat. They do not control us. They tell us when they move. They don’t say tank when it will move,” Ellis said.

Zepeda is not there

Shakur’s light champion of WBC hopes to set a fight with William Zepeda, but now he does not look good after the agreement he thought he had with Turki is no longer there. Last Saturday, Stevenson said that X about his plans to pursue a fight against Zepeda:

“The struggle is ordered by the WBC. I am still a champion and I do not take away anything. If we cannot reach an agreement (with Golden Boy), the monedera offers -see you soon.”

Stevenson complained to X that Turki no longer offered the money he thought he would get a fight against Light WBC Interim Zepeda champion (33-0, 27 kos). Now he was offered less than he achieved for his last fight against Josh Padley.

Lost opportunity?

“It’s a possibility. You never know it,” Kenny said when he was asked if Shakur chose not to take the tank fight because of his hands. As the tank says. Could be withdrawn. We have to wait and see what it does. Whatever I do, I will respect it. If you continue, you have my support.

“Many of these boys had the opportunity and did not take it. Keep moving. Life continues,” Ellis said.
