German backpack found after 11 nights in Australian outback

Police said the backpack survived for almost two weeks, losing in the hinterland Western Australia, drinking from a puddle and slept in a cave.

Caroline Miloga, 26, from Germany, was rescued on Friday. According to the police, she suffered from exhaustion, dehydration, “wide insect bites” and injured foot.

The officers said she went 24 km (15 miles) from her minibus in a “bewildered and disoriented” state after he was stuck in a remote Bushland.

Ms Miloga convinced herself that she would not be found, the police said, adding that the backpack family was relieved and grateful.

“She spent 11 nights, exposed to the elements and survived, consuming the minimum food supplies she had in her possession, and drank water from rain and puddles,” the Western Australian police statement said.

Rescue was reduced to “great luck”, said at a press conference by acting police inspector Jessica second.

Mrs. Wilga was noticed by the driver and transported to the hospital in Pret.

Tanya Henley, the driver, told Australia a public television company that she saw that Mrs. Miloga waved her hands next to the road, and she seemed in a “delicate state”.

“Everything in this bush is very prickly. I just can’t believe she survived. She didn’t have shoes, she wrapped her leg,” said Ms Henley.

Before the rescue, Ms. Wilga was last seen in a common shop in Bicon, Western Australia, in his minibus on June 29.

Police found her abandoned minibus on Thursday in a thick bushland north of the lighthouse.

SECURO said that Ms Miloga seemed to have lost control of the vehicle, which became mechanically unreliable and overgrown.

Mrs. Miloga at the hospital had a “good night” and “just takes it at one time,” said Securo.
